Joaquín Cortez

Joaquín Cortez is Business Manager and Bachelor in Economic Science of the Catholic University of Chile, with a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, USA.

He was the Investment Manager of the AFP PROVIDA between June 1996 and August 2006 and subsequently from August 2008 to October 2011. From October 2011 to October 2013 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the same AFP. He is currently Chairman of the Insurance Company Confuturo and CorpSeguros, Chile.

He has served as advisor to the Ministry of Finance in Chile and Operational Manager of the Chilean Central Bank, among other positions.

   

Angel Martínez Aldama

Angel Martínez Aldama graduated in Laws and in Business Administration at ICADE (Pontificia Comillas University), Madrid, Spain.

Since 1995 he has worked in the Spanish Association of Investment and Pension Funds (INVERCO), of which he has been the Managing Director since 2001. Since 2015 he has occupied the position of Chairman. Since 2004 to 2007 and since 2013 till now, he has been member of the Management Committee and the Board of Directors of the European Funds and Asset Management Association (EFAMA).

He has also held the position of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Pensions Europe (former “European Federation for Retirement Provision”, EFRP). He is also a Vice Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Pension Fund Administrators (FIAP), among other positions.

   

Santiago Montenegro

He graduated as an economist and holds a Master´s degree in economics from the University of the Andes, he holds a Master of Science in economics from the London School of Economics and a PhD from the Oxford University.

He is the President of the Colombian Association of Pension and Severance Funds Administrators (ASOFONDOS, for its Spanish acronym) and President of the Union Board of Colombia. He was a member of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Colombian government as Director of the National Department of Planning.

Nowadays, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the multinational Company, ISA, and a member of the High Council of the University of the Andes, of the Board of Directors of the Stock Exchange of Colombia (BVC, for its Spanish acronym) and of the Executive Committee of Colombia´s Stock market Self-regulator (AMV, for its Spanish acronym).

   

Roberto Walker

Roberto Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration specializing in economics and finance from Universidad de Chile.

He is currently President of Principal International Latam. Walker joined the company in 1996 and most recently served as COO, Principal International Latam, responsible for the development and execution of the business strategy in Latam; development of asset management and mutual fund businesses.

Previous roles: CIO & CFO, Chile; Country Head, Mexico; Head of Funds Management overseeing Latam & Asia mutual funds and asset management services.
